Case Study: Truck Stop

“Arthur and myself are passionate about re-engaging the community in a positive and spirited fashion by offering them a hub to socialise, a place to meet up and, just as importantly, somewhere to be proud of…”

Truck Stop is a $12m renovation of the old Mona Vale Hotel – complete with the most baller carpark repurposing. Ever.

Decked out with gourmet food vans, palm trees and 3x bright, multi-coloured ICON ping pong tables (of course!), the reimagined Truck Stop concept creates a hangout to match any hangout – all within the grounds of Park House Food + Liquor in Mona Vale, NSW.

The redevelopment of the old Mona Vale Hotel (and carpark) has created a multipurpose dining and social space, bringing the hotel up to speed with a changing neighbourhood. The owners – Fraser Short and Arthur Laundy – have created a space that the community can call home.

Amongst the restaurants, food trucks and pop-up markets are a trio of ICON tables that serve as a focal point for people watchers and players alike.
